Families and patients of Princess Margaret Hospital’s Ward 3B Oncology were treated to a well-deserved day of fun and magic thanks to Adventure World’s 7th annual “Big Day Out” Event.

The VIP treatment was rolled out for the in-patient and out-patient children and families of the oncology ward on Sunday 11th March in Dragon’s Kingdom.

Each year Adventure World hosts Ward 3B families with the support of fellow businesses. This year’s entertainment included a live performance "SPLAT", a petting zoo, face painting, roving characters and special meet and greets with Yarli, Yarlotte, Flossy, Stitches the Bear and Paddle Pop Lion.

All of the families were treated to lunch, afternoon tea and special gifts. This day would not be possible without the assistance of major sponsor Bankwest and close partnership with Streets, Rosie O Face Painters, Coca Cola, Cockburn Party Hire, Austage Events, Parties Kids Remember, Crowd Barriers WA, Old Macdonald’s Farm,  World Wide Printing, Express Fresh, PFD, Ryan’s Quality Meats & World Packaging.

"Thank you so much for the amazing BIG DAY OUT you have organised for the families from 3B, we had a great time, the children loved the fast pass and have used it to the max, even the parents' ones :-). Thank you so much for the yummy food, the kids loved the animal farm, so cute and they couldn't get enough of the popcorn and the fairy floss :-). Thank you also for the goodies bag, our daughter Maya is sleeping tonight with the cute grey toy. You've put so much effort into organising this fantastic day for us, we appreciate it a lot, this day is the highlight of our year!"
