On 24 March 2012, 50 teams battled against each other in Adventure World’s premier race around the park, called Adventure Quest. Teams took three and a half hours to complete 14 challenges, which included obstacles that took bravery, wit, strategy and will power.

Each team of four conquered thrilling Adventure World rides, like the Freefall which shoots up 56m into the sky before plummeting back to Earth at 12Gs and The Shotgun, a twisty water slide that takes you down the park’s Alpine Mountain. The Teams solved puzzles while peddling four meters above the ground on Rail Rider, climb a rock wall, planted and even ate two pizzas from Dominos 2 Go in order to complete the race.

Over 2,000 people flocked to Adventure World to cheer on their favorite team as they crossed the finish line. Wood and Grieve Engineers took the grand prize of $2,000 for finishing in first place. Congratulations to the winners, and a great performance by all of the competing teams.

Special thanks to Bunning’s Warehouse in Bibra Lake for sponsoring the tree planting challenge. With their support, teams planted 50 eucalyptus trees for the Adventure World koalas.
