The birth of the new island volcano came in a burst of heavy machinery all the way from Canada, with rumbling cranes and weight loaded trucks hoisting the enormous smoking beast atop the Kahuna Falls structure. The new 6m peak of Kahuna Falls stands 8m above the ground and joins a smaller volcano at 10m above the ground.
Together with additional Hawaiian island theming, this extraordinary construction continues to bring the adoring crowds to Adventure World. Early morning Guests were kept waiting for the final half an hour of positioning before gasping at the colossal scale of the final touches to Australia’s largest Rain Fortress. At $3.3m it is the largest single investment made by Adventure World in a new attraction. The erection of the final volcano on Kahuna Falls brings to an end 6 months of construction at Adventure World.
As the name suggests, the attraction has a fabulous Hawaiian theme complete with Witch doctor, Tiki Gods, the smoking volcanoes and palm trees. With its 100 features of fully immersive and interactive action it takes aqua fun to a whole new level. It will definitely be a hit with the whole family, including mum and dad.
The enormous play structure has over 12,000 cubic meters of water including water sprays, geysers and other features located in and around an enormous “tree fort” structure. With platforms at up to 7.5 meters above the ground, it includes eight water slides, water jet guns and cannons, massive 1000-litre tipping buckets and smoking volcanoes.
Kahuna Falls sits within a new Hawaiian Tiki themed wider precinct complete with thatched pagoda seating area, individual thatched sunbrellas and comfy sun lounges, as well as the all-new “Kahuna Café”.
Adventure World understands the importance of staying safe in the WA sunshine and offers more shade areas than ever before, and, every area of the park is supervised by qualified lifeguards. Adventure World is not only proud to be smoke free (Volcano exempt!) but can also claim to be completely shark free!
